Resorts World Las Vegas has appointed Rachel Donovan, previously executive vice president of operations at Wynn Resorts, as its new president, the company confirmed on Friday.

Donovan will report to Kok Thay Lim, chair of Genting Berhad, and will take operational responsibility for the three-tower Strip property and its 117,000 square foot casino.

What the job looks like

Donovan inherits a property that has spent the past two years focused on table game performance and premium mass growth. Resorts World has invested in rebalancing its floor away from the original slot-heavy configuration, and Donovan's remit includes completing that repositioning while preparing the resort for the busier fourth-quarter calendar.

She will also oversee the build-out of the property's loyalty integration with Genting's Asia-Pacific properties, a programme that has been described by analysts as one of the most ambitious cross-border loyalty schemes in the sector.

Background

Donovan joined Wynn Resorts in 2016 and rose to lead operations across its Las Vegas and Macau properties. She began her career in hotel operations at Marriott and holds an MBA from Cornell.

Resorts World Las Vegas opened in 2021 and employs approximately 6,000 people.
